There have been many changes that are taking effect for the 2017 Tax Season. Some of these changes will effect many households, however for companies like ours, it will protect many of our individual tax clients. One major change that is instituted this year is any taxpayers who are expecting to receive Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit will not have their tax returns accepted by the IRS until February 15, 2017. Why is this important? Many know that tax fraud is very prevalent and we believe that this will decrease the number of fraud cases around the use of children on tax returns for people that rightfully should not use them as dependents on their tax returns.

For more information or to determine if this will effect your household, please contact our office at 470-222-4984.
